Frea&Frea was found in 1978 by Giovanni Frea who began to work by hand in the branch of light metal carpentry.
In 1984 the activity settled in the new industrial complex of Baldissero d'Alba which has occupied a total area of about 15.000 m2 and two production units over the years.
The main activity is the production of aluminium frames for large surfaces combined with the planning and construction of curtain walls, glass and aluminium enclosures, metal coverings, metal carpentry and stainless steel.

In the context of a constant growth and diversification of the product, Frea&Frea acquired the Helianthus brand in 2018, dedicated to the sector of aluminium, glass and polycarbonate enclosures and telescopic verandas. The proposal to the market is characterised by telescopic enclosure for private pools, public pools of big dimensions and telescopic verandas. The Helianthus brand includes the experience of the historical working group, the know-how acquired over the years and the spirit of renewal and development aware of new market requirements.

Helianthus proposes itself to designers, private individuals and public companies as a partner in solving covering needs of all kinds and pays particular attention not only to technical aspects but also to the design of its products, exploiting external collaborations with architects and designers who participate in continuous research and product development. In order to offer customer support from design to realization, Helianthus is a member of the AIS (Associazione Italiana Impianti Sportivi), a non-profit entity with the objective to organize and coordinate activities necessary for the construction of sports facilities.
